We welcome you and your crew to the Helnan Open Dragon DIF-DM 2006 – The Danish Championship - and the fight for the Marblehead Trophy.
Marselisborg Sejlklub and Helnan International Hotels are proud to welcome you for the second time to the Danish Championship for Dragon boats. Århus is the place where forest, beach and the sea creates a beautiful frame for the human tide of the town - an ideal locality for The Danish Championship for Dragon boats when it comes to sailing and exciting experiences.
Marselisborg Sejlklub and Helnan International Hotels are nearest neighbours and together we have laid down a programme for this years´ Danish Championship, which we are looking forward to presenting for the sailors and their families.
We are convinced that the sailors on The Bay of Århus will meet lots of challenging experiences on the courses which are managed by a competent crew with Race Officer Karsten Skov in front.
Ashore Marselisborg Sejlklub will provide good service in the regatta office and friendly after-sailing events.
A number of the social arrangements are located on the beautiful Helnan Marselis Hotel, which has one of the best restaurants in town and a terrific panorama view of the Bay of Århus.
Our vision is that this years´ regatta will be the most professional and exciting Danish championship so far. At the same time we wish that the regatta will also be an event for the city of Århus and put focus and interest on yachting in general which the Dragon boats are a noble representative of.
We are looking forward to seeing you in Århus the 5-9th of July 2006.

"On behalf of the city of Århus it is a great pleasure for me to warmly welcome the crew and their families to the Danish Championship for Dragon Boats 2006.
At the moment Århus is creating an image as the leading sport-event town in Denmark. We will be hosts for the World Championship for orienteering 2006 and also the World Championship for gymnastics 2006 and for the World Youth Sailing Championship 2008.
I am convinced that also the sailors of Dragon boats will enjoy the stay in our town and on the water just outside Århus.
